The January Hive is cancelled. Unfortunately, several of our presenters and instructors are unable to travel due to snow, and we are forced to cancel. Please check back here for news about rescheduling this Hive's events.

The Ladies of Refined Taste and Friends are pleased to announce our Fourth Annual Hive Clothing Workshop Season. We’re following a similar format to prior years, but are adding a new project series in addition to a choice of sewing clinics for both beginners and experienced sewers.  As before, the Sunday sessions are free of charge, there are also specialized fee-based Saturday sessions available.

The Hive will be held on one Sunday of each month from January to March from 1pm-4pm at Minute Man National Historic Park in Concord, MA. Each Hive will include a one-hour presentation followed by two concurrent workshops. In addition, a room will be available for those who would just like to bring a sewing project and/or visit. The Sunday Hives are free of charge to reenactors and Park interpreters.

New this year!!!! -- Project Series

This season we are offering two project series. Wouldn’t it be nice to stay with a project till it’s done and be able to wear it at the start of the season? We’ve designed two workshops to be conducted at each Hive as one of the clinic options. They are free of charge (except for a materials/pattern fee). This will allow you to work on your project over the course of the Hive series and hopefully be able to finish your item by the start of the season.
